ETNA Policies
Please take some time to read the following policies, to ensure you understand how ETNA operates and to follow our health and safety protocol:
Induction Checklist
- Introduction to other staff and volunteers, including key contacts.
- Overview of who you will be working alongside and their role(s).
- Tour of the building and outside spaces, highlighting key areas such as emergency exits and first aid points.
- Who to approach with questions, problems or emergencies.
- Information on where to store personal belongings, designated working spaces and locating necessary equipment or supplies.
- Were to find kitchen facilities, refreshments, toilets and communal areas.
- Discussion of your expectations and agreed commitments, including days, hours and flexibility, where relevant.
- Guidance on handling complaints and raising concerns.
- How to access ETNA Wi-Fi.
- Clear instructions on how to claim expenses, including what is eligible and how to submit claims.
- Health and Safety Overview: basic health and safety rules, emergency procedures and first aid points.
- Safeguarding Policy: Information about safeguarding responsibilities, if applicable.
- Training Opportunities: Outline any training that will be provided to volunteers.
- Volunteer Code of Conduct: Overview of behavioural expectations while volunteering.
- Feedback Mechanisms: Encouragement to share feedback on the volunteering experience.
- Communication Channels: Explanation of how important updates or information will be shared.
Risk Assessments will be carried out where relevant.

Training
ETNA will provide on the job training where relevant, please let us know if there is anything additional that you are interested in.
Alongside this, you are able to attend training courses run externally by Richmond CVS or other local organisations.
