‘Rest & Restore’ Yin & Sound Bath Retreat
Feel grounded, calm & replenished with a deeply relaxing evening of Yin Yoga & sound healing.
At a time when many of us are craving a slower pace, this mini retreat will offer you space to put aside the ‘to do’ list, and gift yourself some valuable time to receive. To bask in the joy of doing less. Relaxing muscles, releasing chronic tension, and calming a busy mind.
- Melt away stress and a busy mind with a soothing 20 minute guided Yoga Nidra meditation
- Release muscular tension and stimulate energy flow via gentle, floor-based Yin Yoga stretches (suitable for all abilities)
- Lie back and receive a transformative sound healing journey, guided by experienced therapist Zoe Smith @zoes.zen
Ease into the weekend feeling more open, grounded, calm and centered, and experience a true reset for body, mind & spirit.
Restorative Yoga Nidra:
Translated from the Sanskrit, Yoga Nidra means ‘yogic sleep’. This deeply relaxing, ancient guided meditation practice involves simple visualisation techniques to navigate between sleeping and waking states of consciousness. Students report sleeping better afterwards, experiencing improved mental clarity, less anxiety, and greater peace of mind.
There have been numerous clinical studies suggesting that Yoga Nidra can be a successful therapy for those suffering from insomnia, PTSD, stress and anxiety.
Nourishing Yin Yoga:
Beth will guide you through a deeply relaxing Yin yoga practice for the first part of the evening. Expect slow, passive, floor-based yoga postures, with plenty of props for support.
Yin is suitable for all abilities but is particularly popular for its stress-relieving and soothing effects for body, mind & spirit. Holding poses softly in stillness and relaxing muscular effort calms the body’s stress response, freeing up constricted circulation and energy flow in the body.
Students often report feeling more grounded, open and centred, with greater freedom of movement in commonly tight areas such as hamstrings, glutes, back, hips & shoulders.
No yoga experience required, all welcome.
Crystal bowl sound healing:
The final part of the evening will be led by Zoe Smith (@zoes.zen), a qualified sound therapist and 500hr yoga teacher who runs regular sold out sound baths in Surrey. Zoe has been involved in holistic therapy for over ten years, her purpose and passion to spread light and the powerful therapeutic benefits of yoga & sound healing far and wide.
During the session you’ll be guided through a 45 minute immersive sonic journey, using sound vibrations to create powerful shifts for body & mind, bringing balance to vital energy points and healing on a cellular level.
Lie down, relax, and allow the crystal bowls to guide you through an experience quite unlike anything else…
You will need your own yoga mat and two blankets for this event. All abilities welcome!
Book yourself in for a nourishing self-care reset and move into the weekend feeling calmer, rested and replenished.
Price: £45 p/p (or £70 for 2 people)
